GAS AND ELECTRICITY HIKE WILL HIT GORDON HOUSEHOLDS

TORY/ LIB DEM COALITION MUST ACT NOW
Gordon MSP, Alex Salmond, has called on the UK Government to take action following news that Scottish Power is set to increase gas and electricity bills.
Commenting Mr Salmond said:
“This latest in a series of price hikes by the big six energy companies will hit Gordon householders hard.
“As the winter approaches, increasing numbers of Gordon residents are approaching my office to seek help as they struggle to meet the ever rising energy costs. Scotland is an energy rich nation and it is a scandal that residents in my constituency are facing such steep rises.
“The Tory/ Lib Dem coalition must instigate a top level review of the domestic and international energy market to bring help to long suffering domestic customers.
“It is impossible to for people to continue absorbing such colossal bills in their monthly budgets and action must be taken now to help those struggling to make ends meet.”
