Salmond Welcomes Inveramsay Bridge Exhibition

Alex Salmond MSP today welcomed the Transport Scotland exhibition on proposals for removing the bottleneck at Inveramsay Bridge.

Commenting , Aberdeenshire East MSP, Alex Salmond said:

“I welcome this exhibition by Transport Scotland which allows the public to see the great progress being made towards solving this notorious traffic blockage.

“The plans show a great step forward in the process of remodelling the problematic stretch of the A96 and I hope the community will take this opportunity to discuss the proposals with Transport Scotland representatives and consulting engineers from URS Scott Wilson.

"After years of inaction by the previous Lib Dem/ Labour administration it has taken an SNP Government to see action on this bottleneck and it’s great to see the project moving forward."
