Councillor Teams up with Police for Joint Drop-In Surgery
>> 16 February 2015
Peterhead South & Cruden SNP councillor Stephen Smith along with PC Clare Taylor and Sergeant Wilson Runcie of Police Scotland are joining forces to hold a joint surgery for local people.
Local residents will be able to meet PC Taylor, Sergeant Wilson and Councillor Smith either together or individually should they wish on Tuesday 24 February at Cruden Bay Police Station. The joint surgery follows previous successful surgeries held by Cllr Smith and local police representatives in Cruden Bay.
Commenting on the initiative, Peterhead South & Cruden councillor Stephen Smith said:
"I’m pleased to be able to repeat this initiative which proved useful in the past and will be useful in terms of introducing PC Taylor as one of the local Community Police Officers.
“Some of the issues both myself and colleagues in the police deal with individually involve matters for both the police and the council so it therefore seemed sensible to offer the opportunity again for people to meet with us together, but we’re equally happy if people wish to see us individually.
"I'm very grateful to PC Taylor and Sergeant Wilson for making themselves available for this surgery."
