Thomson and Lochhead Campaigning in Gordon Constituency
>> 3 May 2010
Gordon SNP Westminster Candidate, Richard Thomson, will be joined today by Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs and the Environment, Richard Lochhead, as the SNP seeks to gain a sensational victory over the Lib Dems in the highly-marginal Gordon Constituency in Thursday's General Election.
Mr Lochhead will be joining Mr Thomson in Huntly, as the town celebrates the May Day holiday. Both men will spend the morning in the town, chatting to residents and local businesses, and taking part in the morning's events.
Later, Mr Lochhead and Mr Thomson will visit local farmer Bruce Walker at his farm - Newton of Lewesk, Old Rayne - to discuss farming issues. Bruce is NFU Scotland's 'Unsung Hero of the Year' - a title awarded to him at last year's Turriff Show by representatives of NFU Scotland, for his contribution over many years to the farming sector.
