GORDON CONSTITUENCY OFFICE OPEN TO OFFER ADVICE

Commenting on the severe weather, local Gordon MSP Alex Salmond has offered his help to any constituents who might be looking for advice during the cold snap.

Mr Salmond said:

“My office has remained open throughout the cold snap and my staff are on hand to help constituents with queries they may have regarding the cold weather. I am more than happy to help any constituent to make contact with the appropriate agencies which can help them cope with the effects of the snow, including issues such as winter fuel payments and road conditions.

“This year, Scotland stands ready to face the severe weather with more than 360,000 tonnes of salt stock in depots across Scotland and a further 100,000 tonnes on order.

“I would like to praise the efforts of our emergency services and all the workers who are battling around the clock, often in difficult conditions, to keep roads as free from snow and ice as possible.”
