SNP Select Candidates for Turriff & District Ward
>> 7 March 2022
The Scottish National Party has announced its candidates for the Turriff and District Ward at the forthcoming local government elections in May.
Current councillor Alastair Forsyth has been selected to contest the election once again and has been joined by Millbrex resident Susan DuBois.
“Serving as a councillor for Turriff and District for the last five years has been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences. If elected again, I look forward to serving the ward by tackling local issues and representing constituents on a personal basis.”
Susan DuBois has lived in the Fyvie area for over 21 years and is married to Scott, who runs their family business.
Susan has six children and 4 grandchildren. Susan’s desire to serve her community as a councillor stem from her life experience over the past 35 years as a carer for her son, and her employment experiences in education as an Inclusiveness Co-ordinator. Currently, she is a Caseworker in the field of politics.
Commenting on being selected alongside Alastair Forsyth, Susan DuBois said:
“I am driven by my core values of fairness and equality. I believe these values along with my experience in my personal and professional life have helped me develop personal attributes and a knowledge base that would allow me to be an effective councillor. It would be a privilege to serve my community in this capacity. If elected, I will work extremely hard to tackle local issues and to represent the needs of constituents of Turriff and District, both collectively and on a personal level.”
