COUNCILLOR WELCOMES BODDAM GALA BOOST

Peterhead South & Cruden councillor Stephen Smith has welcomed the latest boost to the Boddam Gala Day in the shape of £500 sponsorship from Scottish & Southern Energy.
The Gala Day – which will take place in the Recreation Park on Sunday 12 July – is being held by the park committee in association with the recently-formed Boddam Community Council.
Grampian Police have also confirmed they will attend the event with their mobile police office. Grampian Fire & Rescue Service and Digital UK will also be attending.
Commenting, Councillor Stephen Smith said:
"SSE's support for this community event is very much appreciated by the organisers and I am sure the funding will be very useful. All we need now is for this sunny weather to continue and it should be an excellent day."
