>> 20 September 2010
Member of the European Parliament Ian Hudghton and North-east SNP MSP Nigel Don visited Laurencekirk company Journeycall last week.
Journeycall specialises in the provision of unique, independent and specialist contact centre services to the smartcard and public transport industries and has operated Transport for London’s Oystercard system since 2006. Mearns SNP councillor Jean Dick accompanied the MSP and MEP on their visit where they met with Managing Director Trisha Pirie.
Commenting after the visit, SNP President Ian Hudghton MEP said:
“The awards which the company have won are testament to the effort being put in by all connected with them to ensure that their clients receive a fast and effective response to enquiries and to orders for travel cards and rail tickets.
“I wish them continued success in their ambitions, and hope they will have a long and prosperous future in Laurencekirk."
North-east MSP Nigel Don added:
“I was very impressed by the professional atmosphere of the Journeycall business. Clearly the management are determined to provide an excellent working environment for their staff in the challenging business of providing telephone advice.
“I was also encouraged to know that they have plans for expansion and trust that all concerned will assist in this important development. I wish Trisha Pirie and her team continued success at Laurencekirk.”
