SNP Councillor Welcomes Banchory Sports Centre Progress

Welcoming the news that Aberdeenshire Council’s Policy and Resources Committee has agreed that detailed design work should be progressed and a planning application should be prepared for the Banchory Sports Centre, SNP Councillor for Banchory Linda Clark said:

“I very much welcome this news. Banchory has been crying out for a facility like this for a long time and I’m delighted to see that the work put in by Aberdeenshire Council and the volunteers in the Banchory Sports Village Trust has reached the stage where the detailed plans for the centre can now be drawn up.

“This centre will be a tremendous asset for Banchory and the surrounding area. I’m delighted that the council administration is pressing ahead to deliver a facility which the entire area can be proud of.”
