>> 12 May 2022
The Scottish National Party was celebrating increasing its number of councillors in Buchan from 3 to 4 at last week’s election in a closely-fought contest.
The addition of two new councillors in Central Buchan in the shape of David Mair and Geoff Crowson, replacing Jim Ingram who retired at the election, means an increase in SNP representation on the Buchan Area Committee.
Commenting, Cllr David Mair said:
“I would like to thank everyone who cast their vote for me last Thursday. It’s an honour to be elected to represent Central Buchan and I look forward to getting down to work for the people of this area.”
Cllr Geoff Crowson added:
“Jim Ingram has been a very hard-working representative for Central Buchan for the past 10 years and I hope to live up to his work rate and will do my best for the communities of Central Buchan.”
