Peterhead Councillor Urges Carers to Apply for Short-Break Funding Before Monday
>> 21 June 2023
Peterhead North and Rattray SNP councillor Leeann McWhinnie is urging carers of disabled children, young people and their families to ensure they get their application in for the ‘Take a Break’ grant scheme before the deadline of Monday 26 June.
The scheme is managed by Family Fund, a highly-respected charity which supports families with disabled or seriously ill children or young people, and as well as its own grants, the charity is also keen to promote the ‘Take-a-Break’ scheme, which is funded by the Scottish Government, and provides grants to parent carers (unpaid carers and eligible kinship carers) of disabled children and young people, aged 0-20 who have complex additional support needs.
