PASSENGERS GET CHANCE TO HAVE THEIR SAY AT PETERHEAD EVENTS
Peterhead South & Cruden councillor Stephen Smith has welcomed a commitment from Stagecoach Bluebird to review the operation of their town service buses following complaints he has received from constituents.
The SNP councillor revealed he had received complaints from bus users regarding the routes and timetabling of the town’s bus service. Now, Stagecoach Bluebird Managing Director Andrew Jarvis has responded to Cllr Smith indicating that changes will be made in November and advising that consultation sessions will be held on Thursday 27 September so that people can give the company their views.
Commenting, Cllr Stephen Smith said:
“This is good news that Stagecoach have given a commitment to make changes to the town service and are to hold consultation sessions with the public to get their views.
“There has been some disquiet among bus users in the Meethill area who have taken their concerns to me. Hopefully people will take this opportunity to put forward their suggestions to the bus company so that changes can be made which cater for everyone’s needs.
“I am grateful to Stagecoach for organising the consultation sessions and hope they will be well-attended.”
The consultation sessions with Stagecoach Bluebird are taking place on Thursday 27 September at the Peterhead Interchange at 2.00pm and then later at the Palace Hotel at 7.00pm.
